Gaspee Days
Warwick, Rhode Island
Saturday, June 2 – Sunday, June 10

Gaspee Days is a free, family-friendly festival spanning May and June. June’s events include Symphony in Pawtuxet Park, fireworks, a Blessing of the Fleet, 5K Foot Race, and the Gaspee Days Parade.

Great Chowder Cook-Off
Fort Adams State Park
Saturday, June 2 starting at 12 pm 

Satisfy your summertime chowder cravings at the 37th Great Chowder Cook-Off on June 2! Enjoy endless samples from participating venues. Venues show off their stuff with traditional, exotic, and delicious chowder. Vote for your favorite chowders and walk away with a happy belly.

Great Chowder Cook-Off tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. Children 12 and under are free.

Fort Adams State Park is located in Newport, Rhode Island.

PVD Flea Opening Day
Sunday, June 3, 10 am – 4 pm

We don’t know about you, but we’ve been anxiously awaiting the Flea’s return to Downtown Providence! Their outdoor markets are a summertime-must. We always start off with an iced drink from Presto Strange-O Coffee Truck (we’d recommend the lavender lemonade or coffee milk latte) before strolling through the dozens of vendors. Antiques, handmade goods, jewelry, vintage clothes, plants, and more abound! After you have collected your loot, head back over to the food trucks for lunch or a sweet treat.

Check out the PVD Flea on Sundays this summer, across from 345 South Water Street in Providence.

Pink Party: A Celebration of Rosé
Easy Entertaining
Thursday, June 7, 6 pm – 9 pm

Rosé is the sweet wine of summertime. Celebrate rosé and the start of summer at Easy Entertaining’s rosé-themed Pink Party. Wear your best pink outfit for the chance to win a special prize. Tickets are $49 and include 10-15 rosé tastings with options to purchase a full glass pour.

Enjoy a relaxing night on their patio and gardens with a glass of rosé. As they say, take some time to “stop and smell the rosé.”

Tell Newport: All in at JPT
Jane Pickens Theater
Thursday, June 7 at 7:30 pm

Head to JPT for real stories, told by real people. The night’s lineup includes personal narratives about love and loss, hope and pain, and everything in between. Tell Newport is “… the storytelling movement that aims to transcend the differences among us and create a sense of comfort and community as nothing else can.”

PVDFest
Thursday, June 7 – Sunday, June 10

Everything magical about PVD is crammed into this four-day festival in Downtown Providence. “Live music, dance, food, and visual art installations transform the city in a four-day, multi-arts takeover of public spaces, parks, and outdoor stages in the heart of Providence, Rhode Island.”

The Amazing Adventure at Blithewold

Get family and friends together to compete in the Amazing Adventure at Blithewold! You will adventure through the beautiful Blithewold grounds where you will be challenged and intrigued. Those who complete the challenge will be entered to win a raffle prize. All competitors will receive a free ice cream – what’s better than that!?

The 2nd Annual Bacon and Beer Fest
The Steel Yard

If you love bacon and beer, this one’s for you. Over 25 local restaurants will craft their best bacon-inspired dish to be paired with a brew. In addition to bacon and beer, there will be live music and games to enjoy.

The Brewery Comedy Tour

The cross-country comedy tour is landing at The Guild in Pawtucket! A brewery tour offers an intimate and fun way to enjoy stand-up comedy. Listen to acts from different comedians and enjoy a brew (or two!) at The Guild.

The Rose Gardens of Roger Williams Park

The Victorian Rose Garden at Roger Williams Park is a sight to be seen. If you’re planning a Tuesday trip to the zoo, add this garden tour to the day’s agenda. You will take in the rose garden’s sights and smells while learning about the garden’s long history.

Roger Williams Park Zoo is located at 1000 Elmwood Ave in Providence, Rhode Island.

Newport Secret Garden Tour on “The Point”

43rd Annual PrideFest & Illuminated Night Parade
South Water Street
Saturday, June 16 at 11 am – 9:30 pm

This year’s PrideFest theme is “Louder and Prouder.” The LGBTQ+ community and allies are celebrating Pride Month all day long in Providence. PrideFest starts noon on South Water Street with over 150 vendors, entertainment, and more. The Illuminated Night Pride starts at 8:15 pm in downtown.

Grab your lawn chairs, blanket, snacks, and drinks for Bristol’s Fourth of July Concert Series. There are several dates this year and a wide variety of performers.

The Concert Series is a warm up for Bristol’s ultimate Fourth of July event – the parade. If you don’t have any Fourth of July plans, head on over to Bristol to enjoy the biggest Fourth of July Parade in the smallest state.

Dig in for charity. CVS Health Charity Classic Event Series is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary and 2nd Annual Crave RI Food Festival. Over 100 local restaurants and more than 150 beverage venues will be serving samples. Notable local chefs will be holding live demonstrations to watch as you munch. Crave RI General Admission tickets are $20.

Unique, free, and family-friendly, the Festival of Fire Arts is quintessential summer fun. Watch and learn from the Steel Yard’s industrial makers. WaterFire Full Lighting
Sunday, June 10th and Saturday, June 30 at sunset

WaterFire season is here! There are two lightings this month – a basin lighting on June 10 and a full lighting on June 30. More lightings will be announced throughout the summer. The current schedule is available here.

If you have yet to experience, WaterFire, put it at the top of your summer bucket list, come in the afternoon for a food tour, take a late afternoon boat tour then sit and soak in the unique experience.  Between the music and the magical atmosphere, it’s something you’ll never forget.
