91st Annual Ancients & Horribles Parade Glocester, Rhode Island

Locals spoof local and national politics during this Fourth of July parade. That shouldn’t be hard these days?! The 91st Annual Ancients & Horribles Parade will be this Fourth of July. The parade route is along Route 44 (Putnam Pike) in the village Chepachet in Glocester, Rhode Island. Parade kickoff is at 4 pm with parade judging starting at 3 pm.

FringePVD 2017 Providence, Rhode Island

FringePVD is a yearly artists festival. This year’s event is July 24 – 29. Musicians, actors, dancers, and artists perform their own shows. FringePVD is expecting over 300 individual shows for this year’s five-night festival. Performances take place in four different venues: AS220 Black Box Theater, RISD Point Street Pop-up, The Steel Yard, and Waterfire Arts Center. FringePVD is a collaboration between The Wilbury Theater Group and Waterfire Providence. FringePVD is a five-day festival of unique performances and experiences. Artists and performers from around the country share their talents. Go with an open mind and be ready to have lots of fun! Tickets for all performances are available at the door for $5-$15.

Garden Fete Newport, Rhode Island

Dress to the nines for Newport Restoration Foundation’s Garden Fete on Wednesday, July 19. Enjoy the best view in Newport at Doris Duke’s Rough Point. Rough Point’s formal gardens will be open for one night only. There will be live music, lawn games, garden-inspired beverages, and treats from Tricycle Ice Cream. Their ice cream sandwiches are delicious! Prizes will be awarded to the most memorable floral fashions and accessories. The Garden Fete is the ultimate summer garden party.
Garden Fete is Wednesday, July 19 5 pm – 7:30 pm. This is a 21+ event. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. In the event of rain, Garden Fete will take place indoors.

They offer a ton of excursions like Full Moon Paddles, Jamestown Coastal Kayak Tours, and Kayak Safety Courses. The Sunset Paddle Wickford Harbor is for kayakers of all abilities. It’s a tranquil, beautiful experience. Take in the sunset will paddling through gorgeous Wickford Harbor.

30th Annual Arts & Artisan Festival Tiverton, Rhode Island

30th Annual Arts & Artisan Festival at Four Corners Tiverton is a great annual event. They have some new additions this year, including a beer garden. The festival hosts 60 to 100 unique artists from all over New England. Local musicians provide entertainment and food trucks provide the day’s food. The Arts & Artisan Festival is Saturday, July 15 10 am – 4 pm.
