Valentine’s Day is meant to be shared with loved ones. February 14th is a day for celebrating love, whether it’s romantic, familial or friendship. Remember, there’s always Galentine’s Day on February 13th for celebrating lady power and female friendship!

This year, there are some great ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Providence and Newport. Two of Rhode Island’s best restaurants, Gracie’s in Providence and The Vanderbilt Grace in Newport, are making Valentine’s Day celebrations easier than ever.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Gracie’s was named one of Open Table’s Most Romantic Restaurants! Gracie’s offers the best of fine dining in Providence. The atmosphere is romantic and upscale. They offer a seasonal menu, inspired by the best and freshest ingredients. They harvest some of those fresh ingredients from their own rooftop garden – talk about local food! Gracie’s dessert menu is to-die-for and their cocktail list has something for everyone. You will literally be “graced” with the added touch of a sommelier to recommend just the right wine pairing with your tasting menu where Chef Varga will surprise and delight you with attention to detail and service. Valentine’s Day reservations are sure to fill up, so make your reservations at Gracie’s today. To reserve your table at Gracie’s today, click here.
Gracie’s has a bakery counterpart – Ellie’s Bakery in Providence. Ellie’s is perfect for Valentine’s baked goods. Ellie’s is French-inspired and absolutely delicious! If your vibe is more relaxed, Ellie’s is the perfect spot for celebrating Valentine’s Day in a relaxed, yet romantic fashion. You can even surprise your Valentine with some of their beautifully boxed macarons or of their Signature 4″ Pistachio Lemon Cakes for 2. Cake trumps flowers every day, even on Valentine’s Day, but believe it or not you can pick up a gorgeous bouquet of flowers at Ellie’s Bakery too, from Flower’s by Semia!! Ellie’s is open Monday-Saturday 7am to 5pm, so stop in for a Valentine’s Day lunch or a treat and ask them how they are celebrating “local love“!
